Unauthorised Signboards

September 2, 2013 Validation Scheme for Unauthorised Signboards full implementation

In accordance with the requirements of the Building (Minor Works) Regulation concerning signboards which are already existed before 2 September 2013, such signboard owners are encouraged to join the voluntary Validation Scheme by appointing the Prescribed Building Professionals and / or Prescribed Registered Contractors to inspect, strengthen (if required) and certify the structural safety of the existing unauthorized signboards. This safety check is required to be carried out again every 5 years or the unauthorized signboards should be removed.
